In November I looked at a lamp in the Merthyr Tydfil store but they only had 1 and I needed 2. So I paid 76 to order them for an in store collection and found out today that their courier 'lost' the items between the warehouse and the store. They are now out of stock and I can't get any refund until I visit the store. Its a 30 mile trip and apparently shut anyway. Do Next not have any computer tracking on the items their customers have paid for? Why don't they charge for the goods when they actually provide them instead of keeping my money for months and providing me with nothing? Why did I need to chase them up rather than be contacted. Why can't they do a refund by phone at the moment? I'm totally unimpressed with Next and will never order anything in store again. Update: the day after posting this review I received a text saying that the order was ready for collection! The collection process was excellent as I just received the items via a counter in the shop doorway and didn't enter the store. No complaints about the lamps just took ages to get and unnecessary hassle with the process.

Went shopping with my mum on the weekend and stopped off at next. As we were leaving the alarms went off. A blonde store assistant came over and took my mums perfume she bought as it hadn't been scanned properly to deactivate the alarm, no apology was given and we went to leave again. This time the perfume I purchased set off the alarm, the store assistant came over again, and again took my perfume to rescan it. This error delayed us as we only popped in quickly and on both occasions the store assistant didn't apologise for their error. When I said that the person at the till should be spoken to as she isn't scanning any of the perfumes properly, the reply was 'we do', and just turned and walked away. No apology and was unfriendly considering it was their error. This is the second poor experience I've had in a week from next, they also messed an online order up. Will shop elsewhere from now on, will then hopefully have my orders processed properly and won't have to deal with miserable and incompetent staff at the store.

Decent ladies, men’s and children’s ware store with lots of variety for the whole family. Staff are helpful, easy access although the counters are quite high if you are vertically challenged
