Becontree Church

Great way to spend a wet afternoon in Newtown. Lovely to see history of the area. My little boy especially liked the train track to play with, feeling the different materials and looking around the old style shops on the top floor. Really friendly staff too. Have to do stairs but they're not too steep and you can do one floor at a time- it is a lot bigger than you think!

This was a 5 star find in Newtown. Really interesting building - a set of back to back houses with loom floors above for flannel weaving. Extremely helpful staff and lovely exhibits.

This place is a little gem. The volunteers are extremely knowledgeable and make the place come to life. Well worth a visit.
