The quality of the service here has improved a lot

Whilst having only a Minor Injuries Unit rather than full A&E facilities, it is nevertheless really handy to have such a facility locally, thus preventing the need for some patients to have to be kept in overnight at Stranraer, as the hospital does have Wards for overnight patient care too.
