I have been a patient here for 10 years. The level of care I have received from doctors, nurses and all support staff, is second to none. I highly recommend this practice.
Pregnancy check ups are very important. When I called for the first time receptionist told me that don’t do check ups and I didn’t insist. When I called for my second appointment again I was told that they don’t do appointments and check ups. This time I insisted that I need a see GP. And this was very important because during this appointment I found out about pregnancy complications, which were not obvious. Midwifes are not doctors, check ups with the GPs are very very important during pregnancy. But receptionists try to avoid them, give wrong information and talk like its a waste of time.
The reception manager is rude, unprofessional and obviously doesn't care about peoples wellbeing! On several occasions I have had the unfortunate pleasure of having to speak with her and on each occasion her attitude and professionalism leave a lot to be desired. I understand that the role she has can be extremely challenging however she should not take her frustrations out on patients whom she has no idea of what is wrong with them. On a positive note her recruitment process is good as the other receptionists are warm welcoming, helpful and friendly.
Dr Simons is an excellent doctor ,sadly getting an appointment is sometimes proving almost impossible and some of the reception staff are totally unhelpful and could not care less .They are obviously sitting there to get their wages but certainly not to help patients .It is a great shame as it used to be very different .I will add that I have seen other doctors at this surgery and have no wish to be looked after by these people .Extremely unhelpful receptionist.
