We love this pub. It's our 'go to' favourite place when we're walking over Dartmoor. We'll even go out of our way to come here for food. The atmosphere is always welcoming, warm and friendly. And the food is just about the finest quality pub food one can expect. We have eaten here many times and never once found anything to complain about. I don't often give out five star reviews, but I truly feel The a Old Inn deserves it. Good, honest, satisfying food, that is also good value for money, without any pretentiousness that you can sometimes find in these so-called gastro pubs. And yet, still offering a first class menu. Very highly recommended indeed.

Popped in during a sunny September day (covid) fortunately we were able to sit outside and be well looked after. Great quality food. Really lightly dressed salad. And the ploughman’s was spot on. Only thing it needed was posher butter (but that’s a tiny Alan Partridge comment) coming back.
Probably one of the best service we've seen around so far. Meals were flawless too, testy and reasonably priced for the value. Great place to rest after a long walk. Plenty of parking space around.
We sat in the garden, a well organised ordering system with Covid safety. The atmosphere, food and surroundings were delightful. Very good pub/ restaurant.
Some of the best food we’ve had in Devon and the staff is very friendly! You must try the Salt & Pepper Squid with the Sweet Chilli Jam and the chocolate brownie. Update: we went again the next day and had the burger. Great choice!
