One of the worst companys out there!!! They overcharge on the water Bill's and then write a letter to you saying that you haven't paid your bill, when you have. They also dont give you enough leeway to pay your bill, they want the bill paid there and then! What about the customers who don't get paid until after the bill comes through the post. If you are 1 day late paying your bill, they will send you a nasty letter threatening with court action. We always pay our Bill's on time!!! Then they will put your bill up, after you said to them that you will pay so much a month. They always want you to set up a direct debit with them but we dont, because they would take more money from the agreed price that you said that you would pay them each month!! The customer service is very very very poor!!! They dont care about anything else apart from wanting to get more money out of you!!! The customer service operators need training on how to talk to customers. I work in a customer facing role, and if I spoke the the customers they way the call operators do, I would get the sack! This company loves leaving people stressed and ill. It wouldn't be long until they are being taken to court!!!

Website is rubbish. You cannot make a complaint. If you type out an email query, it does not give you any button to click to send it! My water is undrinkable for the second time in 2 weeks- overchlorination. I religiously pay my water rates only to have to pay out again for bottled water. What a company.
Brown water this morning again. Took sample in a glass which now has sediment sitting at the bottom. Advised by STW to run water for 20mins. Has now cleared but I want to know if my boiler, toilet cistern valves and shower mixer have or will be affected. STW don't seem to take this issue seriously. Had a water leak some months ago with a toilet valve, which when replaced had sediment in it. Their remit is to supply clean water, not with added sediments. Kimberley, Nottm.
reported problem 3 weeks ago and 3 times since but no reply at all. Absolutely incompetent company, just robots designed to steal money and deliver nothing. Spend hours on the phone with no result.
Recently moved from Shropshire to West Yorkshire, emailed STW for my final bill. No response. Got a bill from Yorkshire Water as they received a copy of my email to STW, which was not needed as moved in with my partner, causing false accounts to be created in my name. Called STW, they mentioned no record of my email and after confirming the closure of the previous address account I was actually owed 40 or so. I feel they intentionally ignored my email with intentions of keeping what credit was owed to me. Despite having handled the situation now, this whole mishap could have been avoided if their customer service was to at the very least respond to my email or call me.
