When we went on the 31st August it was fantastic couldn't fault anything other than the fact your bookings weren't up to date we booked through the day to eat at night and turned up to be told we don't get on the day bookings from online to which my answer was well then why do you let us book online?? The reason I'm giving it a 2 is because your website says children can stay till half 9 when food is finished being served, we were also told by locals and the b and B we were staying at, however when we rang on the 2nd of September we got a very snotty person on the phone that said we'd have to be out by 7. When I queried this I got the response we change the time for sport is that all. And when I went online to check you had no changes. So I've changed it to a 3 now because we eventually managed to get a table on the 2nd after ringing back and speaking to another person who said we Could stay till half 9 as there was no sport so I think your staff need to communicate a bit better. Again the food was fantastic but when we turned up we were told we didn't have a table AGAIN. So we booked online on the 31st but decided to ring this time because we thought maybe they'll actually take note of it. Nope. We turned up and we were told by the lovely lady at the front that we had to book a day in advance online. So I told her we actually rang instead of booking online only an hour before we were due to sit down and we were told we had a table at half 6. So she went to speak to another member of staff and it looked like everyone denied even talking to me on the phone. So after 10 minutes she came back and told us she would have to find us a table and we would have to wait 15 mins. So food 5 stars But organizational skills 1 star

Lovely meal here and it's reasonably priced, the inside is quite low so watch your head because of the low beams. The views outside are spectacular, especially on a clear day...It is also dog friendly...

Having spent my entire life in Newquay and been a regular customer of this bar without any prior issues, last night was the worst service I've ever experienced in any bar. Ever. Having pre booked a table and paid a deposit for a table from 5pm I arrived and was shown the WRONG table with my two friends. The table we had been shown to had been booked by someone we knew. 10 minutes later my food and drink arrived and I was then told we would all need to leave because we were mixing with different tables - having NEVER been shown to the correct table once!! Apparently admitting we know each other was enough to have both bookings cancelled? The tables were 30 metres away from each other with no intention of mixing. They then refused to refund my food and drink as I had started eating. Well if you're kicking me out for mixing with a table that I've been incorrectly shown too then I'd like a refund please. I won't be spending another 1 in this place unless they put things right. I was polite throughout this ridiculous situation and the bouncers even apologised for it all despite still removing us. Absolutely shocking. The manager was unapologetic and provided shocking customer service.

Great massive pub in the centre of Newquay. Outside dining area overlooking the sea. Order at the bar and then food and drink is brought to you. Nice affordable food and drink. Family pub during the day. Got Wifi and big TV,s inside.

Walked in for a pint, waiting at bar to be told by some monotoned woman to stand back at the entrance to be given a table number, fair enough due to Covid, after waiting at entrance for a lad to arrive and allocate me a number, got back to the bar and there's 2 woman behind it just having a chat whilst I'm stood there. No choice but to walk out, so disrespectful. I feel sorry for hard working people looking for jobs when you have those 2 who shouldn't be there. All the other pubs here are good though
