The fish and chips were great, certainly not the best we've had, however my son's Pho noodles were inedible, the stock was off. Had ordered through the app as suggested by the staff and nobody checked on us during the meal so let it ride and walked away. Probably won't be returning. On the plus side, the view outside was amazing.

Our first visit to this place. Impressed with most of the Covid stuff which is unfortunately necessary. Ordering process was good and staff very friendly and accommodating. Food arrived quickly and was good. Bit surprised they charged 1.20 each for mayo and tartare sauce but overall we liked it and will go again.

Lovely view in a nice place. Staff attentive Meals in paper chip boxes disappointing. I definitely think a proper plate would have been more appropriate for the price you pay.

Food was delicious hence the 3* BUT 30 mins wait for fish & chips when it was only half full is not good! And the toilets were the worst smelling ever and very dirty/messy. Shame as I was so looking forward to it as its my birthday

Big fan of Rick Stein and his TV shows so was excited to try his Fistral beach place on my first visit to Newquay, however was left quite disappointed. Chips were lukewarm, hake was dry, but with soggy batter, and the Goan curry sauce was bland and seemed like it had come out of a jar. My local Chinese chippy in Bury does a better fish and chips, and at close to 30 for two portions of fish and chips I won't be going back. Glad I tried it, but go with an open mind and open wallet and don't buy into the hype. It's a chain with very little personality. Great fish and chips can be had in Blackpool, but not at Ricks on Fistral beach.
