I saw a young Dr regarding Urine Infection, blood in urine. He provided a prescription to deal with the problem. This came with an additional item which he told me not to take until blood sample returned from laboratory. I have completed taking the prescribed tablets and am now needing to ascertain the next stage, which is the Tamsulosin MR. Please could the Docter in question state what is required next. Thank you

We moved to the Island at the beginning of October last year. We were told by several people that getting a good medical practice would be difficult. Nevertheless we opted for Dower House. We duly went in to register, filled in all of the forms and were given an initial appointment a week later. When we arrived for our appointment with the doctor, my details were not on the system so she had to enter my medication manually. My husband’s appointment was not in the system but his details were! We then had to wait around to see the nurse. I went to collect our prescriptions on Friday last week and only mine were there! It turns out that my husband’s prescription is sitting in a Southampton pharmacy which we used to use three years ago! We have since lived in Pembrokeshire before moving here! I can honestly say that every single contact we have had with this surgery has gone wrong on the admin side! It’s absolutely outrageous because now I find myself asking the receptionists “are you sure you will be able to do this for me?” The staff are very pleasant but, I am sorry to say, there is at least one weak link in the admin chain. I know how busy the surgery is and that they are running on air regarding government funding but as an admin. employee in a busy school office I do know how important a strong system is.
