Amazing choice and the best woldabd local cheese
Ignore the supermarkets and department stores and go to this splendid Grainger Market shop instead. Best by far on Tyneside and better than many a specialist elsewhere. Huge range of cheeses. Cow's, goat's, sheep, pasteurised and some unpasteurised, soft-, washed- and natural-rinded varieties, whole section of blues, plain cheeses and those with added flavourings - fruits, herbs, pickles and so on. Often able to have a taste if requested. Local North-East and Dales cheeses, a range from the rest of the UK, as well as from other countries, especially France, Germany and Italy. I go there as often as I think my cholesterol intake will allow! All provided with chatty advice and great service. Very difficult to leave with only the the amount you intended to buy. Make a detour whenever you're in (Newcastle) town.
