Very muddy, as expected of wetland woods though. Felt like peppa pig walking around in the mud and puddles. Made for a laugh though plenty of almost falls. The area isn't signposted well, and there's plenty of routes that intertwine. It's hard to tell which ones are the mapped one or ones people have ventured and made into their own. Made for lovely sights once we reached the clearing.

Lovely place for a walk , popular with dog walkers. The wood connects to Beamish woods at the southern end and has old as well as new wooded areas. I would advise wearing wellies or walking boots as it does get very muddy in parts.

This is a lovely walk through old woodland and some stunning views. We walk in this area often and can find different routes every time.
