Good for simple repairs at short notice...
There was ineffective on one side for my parking brake, I visited several garages before I came to Fern Avenue Garage. Those garages quoted me around 180 pounds with replacement of brake pads/shoes/cables, etc. However Fern Avenue garage delivered a very fast and professional adjustment other than replacement of whole hand brake system with much much less cost. Very nice, honest and professional guys. As a foreigner I felt I was treated very fair and nicely. Definitely highly recommend!

Not bad for a back street non-specialist garage. I wanted a no frills oil and filter change and supply my own oil for an ageing but low mileage and well maintained car. John at Fern Avenue Garage was happy to do it at short notice on the same day (thanks John). He wouldn't stamp my service book but I didn't mind. Paid 30 cash as he said it would be VAT if I were to pay by card. No problem. Overfilled by 5mm above max mark (300ml?). No big deal, I'll just wipe down the dipstick a couple of hundred times to soak up the excess! I've had better and worse service elsewhere, hence 3 stars.
