My six-year-old was unwell last week and he cried because he was unable to attend... I think that tells you all you need to know if you are considering this school for your child! Extremely hard working staff & management who set high standards at all times and help the children achieve to the best of their abilities whilst maintaining a very caring and nurturing environment. Family atmosphere. Everyone from the caretaker to the chefs to the teaching staff know the children well. Thanks to the the class sizes (14 children in my son's class) any issues with the learning are picked up very promptly and if needs be extra support is given so the children do not lag behind. The other / older children are so supportive and lovely. Another reviewer called Dame Allan's \uninspiring\ (?!). I often remind my son that he is extremely lucky to be attending Dame Allan's and we work hard so that he is able to. It would be a real disappointment if he didn't make the best of this opportunity and tried his best! 5 stars from us.

Uninspiring and I left with just 3 O Levels. That was 60 years ago however and it may have improved since. : - ) I did continue learning however and went on to get a Master of Philosophy Degree from the University of Cambridge a few years later. Education doesn't stop when you leave school! Pursue what you are interested in and it becomes easy.

An exceptional school where providing children with a full rounded education and life experience is at the heart of what they strive for. Staff are excellent, caring and considerate. Extra curricular activities are varied, inclusive and well supported. Children with a variety of interests can thrive. Children are very happy and rightfully proud of their school. The school involves itself in the local area. The link between this school and the junior school is also well established. The school facilities are excellent and well maintained. The school in Newcastle if you want a well rounded child.
3 years since I left this school without a single GCSE to show for it. Teachers told me I'd be nothing in life. I now earn twice what the head earns. Dont waste your money. They will bully and belittle your child if they dont respond well to their teaching techniques and strict rules. I've been through it myself trusttt
