Good service, nice food (some of the steak was a little chewy while other parts where delicious) and good wine/drinks menu. Staff were attentive but not in your face, while there is always someone on the floor if you have a request. Is pricy but makes no apologies for it, a good place for a special occasion. Desert was my favourite part.

Excellent modern British restaurant near the Quayside in Newcastle. Appears rather cavernous when you first enter but soon settles down to a lively relaxed vibe. Efficient and well trained young staff, just attentive enough. Food lovely. I had quail starter followed by some of the best most succulent venison I've had. Good reasonably priced wines by the glass. Particularly enjoyed the fortified Malbec and Montbazillac dessert wines. Would definitely go again.
Picked up a three course meal to celebrate a birthday in In isolation. Ordered bon line days before hand. At arranged pick up time drove to front door staff waiting outside , he as car registration and name , box placed in boot without having to leave car. Quality of food excellent.

Cafe 21 is our favourite restaurant in Newcastle for celebrating birthdays etc. The ambience, service and quality of food is exceptional. Last night, due to lockdown, we experienced 21 at Home and it did not disappoint! From the careful packaging of each dish, to the quality of the ‘almost ready to eat’ food, we had a fantastic meal - almost as good as being in the restaurant (but the waitress wasn’t quite up to par!!). We had a varied selection over three courses and every morsel was amazing! Terry Laybourne and his top class team continue to impress and should be congratulated for their inspirational thinking behind 21 at Home. Thank you so much.
