Absolutely the last time I shall be using the Newbury store. Currys never fails to impress , especially with the attitude towards customers. I was in this afternoon and talking to the sales person when another approached and barged in with a conversation relating to something they had been dealing with earlier, and certainly nothing to do with me or my purchase. If the lady concerned had spent more time getting a few basic manners rather than attending to her purple hair and inch long eyelashes I would have been better pleased. I was only spending 300, and f there was any choice in Newbury my money would have gone there instead. I also wanted a webcam which was shown as being in stock, and wasn't when I tried to buy it. Abysmal.

Sunil was brilliant in his expertise and personal recommendation...but most of the stuff here is just for showcase...no stock available and there is no initiative by other store staff to get it available for customers..

My elderly grandparents went here to buy a Dyson V10 handheld vacuum. After spending several, frustrating weeks trying to explain how to empty it over the phone, I gave up and drove down to show them in person. I cannot believe this store gave my confused, vulnerable 97 year old Grandfather and his wife a used Dyson V8, stuffed into a (display model) V10 box! They charged them the full price for a V10 - Over 200 extra. It has \Dyson V8 absolute\ stamped on the tube in massive letters, so this cannot have been a mistake. It took 6 staff, over 30 mins to finally decide they didn't have a V10 absolute in the store. The only solution offered was ordering a v10 with a delivery time of upto two weeks. The manager, stood a few feet away (and fully aware of all this) only decided to offer the next model up, when a full refund was loudly requested. I will never purchase anything from Currys again!
