Ordered the mix meat combo over rice. The quality of the food was average but the amount was good. It was the first time I tried Sammy’s. The rice was delicious and the taste of lamb was good. The lamb surely tasted better than the chicken. I went for late lunch so the quality of the meat wasn’t very fresh in my opinion. It is good value for money. Would love to try other branches to find out how they are, overall It was good.

Luckily I pass Sammy’s every day on the way to the dog park. Not only is this little stand of deliciousness part of my neighborhood, my dog loves it too ha. Seriously great food!
I have always had sammys gyro from Jackson heaights but this one was bad it wasn’t a mix platter with rice since it was just rice with some chicken and a hint of lamb. I kept on telling the guy to make sure there is enough meat but no, when I opened it at home it was just rice with lettuce mostly. Never again
Waited on line at the Rockfeller stand almost every Friday night rain or shine for a whole month for their food. I rank their lamb over rice right after The Halal Guys! It's simply amazing - the lamb juicy, soft, fresh and full of spices done just right I mean the whole plate is balanced in terms of spice taste - I eat lamb over rice ONLY at Sammy's and Halal Guys, nowhere else! Sammy's always does me right by giving me extra rice and putting in that green spicy homemade sauce! But don't overdo the sauce because it does get salty.
