I’ve been wanting some tasty fish for a few weeks now. I’ve heard about Lighthouse from friends and decided to give it a try. I’ve even heard the line is usually out the door. I decided to give it a try especially with the snowy weather I knew it wouldn’t be as crowded. When I arrived at the restaurant the staff was very welcoming and helpful. The only thing that I wasn’t pleased with is the restaurant is taking cash only. I was very disappointed especially since when I checked on the website on the menu it says they except cards which is why I’m taking off a star. I had to use the ATM machine in the restaurant to withdraw money. This isn’t a sit down restaurant to enjoy your meal, you order and take your food to go. There is also a section to purchase seafood. I was pleased they actually have whiting fish usually when I go to a seafood place, they tell me they have whiting but end up giving me tilapia. The whiting was also filet so I was really able to enjoy the fish without worrying about any bones. The fish was lightly seasoned and delicious. The yams, cabbage, and macaroni and cheese were also delicious. I didn’t like the garlic mashed potatoes it had a weird taste to it. I also didn’t like the collard greens very bland and a bit too hard for my liking. The chicken was a bit salty and the skin of the chicken was rubbery but the honey BBQ sauce was good. The portions are also a good size for the price. The food is fresh and made to order so you have to wait a little while for your food so if you’re in a rush this may not be what you’re looking for. Great music selection while you wait for your food.

I haven't been to light house in awhile so I was super excited to get my favorite go to \ The Loaded Lobster Fries\. I get home open it up and it looked just as good as always BUT the taste not so much. I'm not sure what they changed. I do believe that they have taken the original ingredients and started to substitute them for less expensive ones but it was certainly a big mistake it almost taste like they are using something powdered now and I'm not even sure if they are using lobster anymore it could be yet another substitute . Well unfortunately that was my last time eating there.

This is lady who always buy the catfish. They have the best in town. I loved going there and the portions are very decent. I recommend that you support fhis black own businesses.

A little pricey...but the food was delicious. I didn't like the juices. The juices were too sugary. Also the line to order and receive your food was very long but it was worth the waiting. Oversll if u like seafood and soulfood. You will love this place. My advice you need to check this place out..

I love this place! Being from the south having a authentic fried fish restaurant close by has been amazing. I’ve tried many dishes here from fish baskets to three wings to the crab legs and seafood medley Alfredo. IT’S ALL DELICIOUS. It’s a counter serve restaurant and there is a wait because everything is made fresh to order...just how you want your seafood! I will definitely be back and can’t wait to get my mouth on some loaded lobster fries again!!
