taste? good. This place was one of my fav until few weeks ago. however starting few months ago, I get a really bad stomach ache whenever I eat from here. Dunno if something changed with their ingredients, but it happened three times in a row now over few weeks, so im not going to eat from here... maybe ill try in a few weeks again.

Cream croquette and takoyaki is must. Pork cutlet tastes savory. The panko is crunchy and not oily.

I first visited Katsuhama more than 20 years ago, and I’ve always loved their food. Today, however, their service seriously disappointed me. I ordered food today via Postmates, and I got to the restaurant 30 minutes later. I could not park my car nearby, so I had to send my 13-year-old son to the restaurant to pick the food up. About 5 minutes later, he returned with the food, but he was fuming. He told me that the receptionist was clearly in a bad mood, did not greet him, and rudely shouted at him that the food was not ready. It turned out, according to my son, the food had been all ready to be picked up, but she didn’t even bother to check. There was no apology for her mistake or making him wait. When he came back to my car, he said: “We are not coming back to this restaurant.” My child had been excited to eat their Katsu Curry, but after this poor service, he completely lost his apatite.

Comparing this to katsu from Asia, it's not amazing. But it is still relatively good though and decently priced. The normal pork loin was a bit marbled but the breading was good. I'd recommend going with the berkshire. Green tea ice cream with green tea cheesecake was fantastic though!
