I stopped for some sweet rice wrapped in leaves (it’s yellow rice with what looks like red bean sauce) and Mellon filled pastry. Quick service, but they didn’t have red bean pastry. I have a feeling things move fast here. Maybe they will have it next time:-)

I love their baked pork bun. Although the quality is not quite consistent. Some days they are more juicy and some times they may be a little bit smaller. But I still usually have one when I go grocery shopping at Hong Kong supermarket.

Jun Cherun Fan (rolled rice noodles w filling, meats, scallion) are the best in the city. A little sit, a little hot sauce and you are ready. Extremely reasonable and delicious. When the Dan tat (egg custard tarts) start being made again (under kitchen repair) there are two types a flaky dough and a cookie dough. Derive the best on your own.

Fast, and efficient. The line goes by quick. Good coffee and buns, served warm. My go to in the area. Steamed buns and lotus wrapped rice are always on my breakfast list. Their red bean mochi is my most favorite item on their menu. Cold drinks are great, too.

This place makes amazing authentic Chinese pastries at a super affordable price. I highly recommend stopping here and trying the coconut bun. FYI, they only speak a little English here, it's all part of the experience!

Their rice rolls are the best around (1.25). Thick and plenty of filling (preserved shrimp, pork, and scallions) compared to other places. But unfortunately that's ALL they have because their basement kitchen has been down for almost 2 years. Not sure how they're surviving on just rice rolls, joongs (rice wraps with some meat/egg), a few angel cakes, and beverages like milk teas and coffees. But they do. I knock them a star because the ladies behind the counter are moody miserable people most times. I barely get them to crack a smile. They get impatient with people who don't speak Chinese. So brush up on your Cantonese/Toisan. LOL. I'm sure they get paid below minimum though. :(

Old school but classic Chinese bakery. Serving fresh baked buns and drinks this place has been open for at least 40 years. Classic cup of coffee, milk tea and my favorite cold drink here is the iced grass jelly with condensed milk. This place uses a steamer that is constantly and always on. The result...fresh steaming hot buns and baos. The rice shrimp scallion rolls go fast so be early. Make sure you have gum with you cause it will make your breath stink... But it's all worth it. Has a few seats, but this place is a more pick up and go kinda spot.

Last great bakery in Chinatown. Though their prices are lower than other places, the quality is so much better! Can't go wrong with anything there.
