Cowgirl Reviews | Rating 4,2 out of 5 stars (5 reviews)

Cowgirl is located in New York, United States on 519 Hudson St. Cowgirl is rated 4.2 out of 5 in the category barbecue restaurant in United States. Cowgirl opened its doors in February of 1989. The restaurant was conceived and founded by Sherry Delamarter after a visit to the Cowgirl Hall of Fame Museum in Hereford, Texas. Sherry brought the images, soul, and cooking of the Western cowgirl to New York City and created a warm, Texas-friendly atmosphere, one of the first true Country Western locations in NYC. We were also the first to offer a warm welcome to buckaroos with a kids menu and trick-roping demonstrations on Hudson Street's now-bygone parking meters.Over the years, the Cowgirl has hosted many famous CW recording artists including Dolly Parton, Reba MacIntire, Bonnie Rait, Roseanne Cash, Billy Ray and Miley Cyrus, Roger McGuinn and many others. We are proud to be a part of uniting true wild-west spirit with the independent, creative energy of NYC.|Cowgirl opened its doors in February of 1989. We went there as a big group with family and friends of all ages. Had a great time with fun food and service. Once the pandemic is over, we’re going to go back!

We had to eat outside in the cold but they did have blankets for us. However, they should have been heated blankets. The food was excellent & I'd like to go back when it's warm outside. The cold took away from our enjoyment.

Fun spot. My friend and I came here at the last minute, and we were not disappointed. We were seated outside, but we got to take a look around the interior. The inside is really cool, it’s a Wild West theme. As far as the meal went, I got the pulled pork sandwich. I enjoyed it, but the tater tots are where it’s at. They’re so good, don’t hesitate to get them with your meal. I’d also recommend getting the 32 oz (or whatever the biggest size is) Tito’s and lemonade. I don’t even know if you get your money’s worth, but it’s awesome to have your own huge jug of alcohol. I need to come back here and have some more tater tots and Tito’s!

Love this place. Good food and good people. Only good things to say about this place.

Got the veggie trio sub salad for mac and cheese. Everything was pretty mediocre. Also, the food (and hot cider) wasn't hot enough even accounting for outdoor mid-January dining. If I came back, I'd go all in on the veggie chili.
