I spent a couple of days on the campus of the United States Coast Guard Academy because I am a high school counselor. I was invited to learn more about the Academy and I have to say I think it is a great institution, and it is the one Academy that many students don’t think of when applying to military academies. You do not need a letter of recommendation from a congress person to apply for the Academy. Thank you all for your service.

I had family go to the USCGA, and through them I can give this university 5 stars all the way around. Great bunch of people. It's the service academy that more people should know about. Go Bears! And I don't think you even have to go rowing at 0600 anymore before going to class...
