So first time ever using the new golden bamboo. Not had a Chinese in months but decided treat my son and I tonight. Was greeted by friendly staff had a lovely chat while we waited. I ordered beef and black bean. Sweet and sour chicken balls. Chips rice curry sauce and bbq spare ribs. Main courses were lovely. We ate every bit. (I was bit disappointed with spare ribs very dry and overdone). I didnt end up having them after tasting one. But I mean I'm nae put off the rest of the meal was lovely and I'd happily order again.
This is my local Chinese and is helpfully a mere 3 minutes from my front door. However convenience alone is not my main reason for recommendation. The food is always tasty and the staff friendly, chatty and very good at remembering customers and their preferences. Lovely that it's a family affair too. I've been using it for 6 years now and always been very happy with it.
