You can lament the main branch closure a year ago (which is part of the Post Office strategy) but this replacement does the same and is open longer. It’s one of the better small supermarkets in New across with consistent availability and prices on par with larger stores. The selection is also quite wide. The post office has shorter queues than the one it replaced with more open counters and crucially if you want to post a parcel at say 8pm, you can via the mini counter at the checkout when the main post office is closed.

During the pandemic the hours have been reduced to Mon-Fri 9-5. Expect big queues which take about 45mins (can vary). Once you're inside its super fast. Don't expect amazing customer service though, they just take the parcel and hand you your receipt. One downfall is because the queue isn't monitored and people are still allowed to go into the shop, you get the odd person who cuts the line. Not sure how the shop owners can manage that though.

Best local post office..conveniently ... Opening time mon- fri 5am-12midnight Sat,sun 6am-12mid night. Also shop close normally 2am every day.... Money gram, banking deposit ,I’d check,bills. Payments,local collect (parcel force and Royal Mail) Returns,international driving licence,...ID certification ..mail redirection ...and travel money most of counties...with special rates when you buy 500 worth....

I work for the NHS do not have the luxury of working from home I went to the post office yesterday after waking up from a night shift to be told they close at 5pm it was 5.10pm they said they cannot take my package. After a gruelling 12.hr night shift last night I came back to the post office I asked the shopkeeper if he could take my package he said no there is a queue. I explained that I am very tired i am back on shift tonight I don’t want to spend an hour on the post office queue, he said I had to although before Corvid of the post office was shut the store area would take package. Hence over an hour spent in a queue of people who didn’t have anything else to do today. All because of a mean spirited sales person. Cheers
