I come here at least a few times a month now to satisfy my hot pot craving. Ottawa only has a few hot pot places, and I’ve only tried this one, but it’s excellent value. Plenty of things on the AYCE menu, and the service is very quick-even when it’s busy. Clean restaurant and lots of seating and overall I’ve had nothing but good meals here :)

It’s been a year since franchise in my city haven’t opened because of COVID (d***), the only way I could satisfy my stomach is to drive two hour come to the nearest one near me. It has been consistently good ever, thank you so much for keep it going under this hard time. Food is genuinely delicious with the best soup base I ever tried as for hot pots. And the service is amazing and fast (they are flying lol). Again, keep it going, I will definitely come every time I drop by Ottawa.
Service: Only two servers working and even though it wasnt a busy day (Saturday), service was super slow and inattentive. Food orders were incomplete. During our meal, the server never checked on us and we had to flag him to get water or refill broth. While taking the empty dishes away, the server spilled some water and didnt bother coming back to wipe our table. Food: Decent quality for vegetables and dumplings. Pork and beef were bad quality, non-edible and were extremely fat. (90% fat) Overall very disappointing, this location really gives Happy Lamb a bad reputation as I've been to Happy Lamb at other places and they were much much better in terms of service/ quality of food. It was a bad experience and I feel like they stole a meal from me. I will not come back.
It’s really good. Mongolian hot pot has always been my weak spot - so I generally like them all. However I did try another Mongolian hot pot restaurant in Ottawa and it bad, so since I discovered this one I’d like to stick with it. I think the secret ingredient for them was the bbq dipping sauce that’s mixed with soy sauce. My favorite item on the menu was the deep fried taro. I do wish they had fried bean curd rather than the current bean curd that they’re having now. Meat was good. Service was not that great - they didn’t look too happy working here and the portions were not that generous. Don’t get the plum juice it was terrible. The ice cream came with plastic spoon - why??? We’re sitting there not like we’re going anywhere. It’s bad for the environment. Overall, I’d still come back since I love Mongolian hot pot too much. I can live with the unhappy waiters/waitresses and won’t get ice cream next time.

Food is great. Service is good, though servers may be understaffed and overwhelmed at times. Ordering can be inaccurate. The kitchen does not always supply the correct amount of food ordered, which causes confusion when re-ordering another round. It would be preferable if the food amount was accurate and customers who waste food are charged extra for it
A good place to eat. A variety of items that you can buy. I would just go for the lunch if I was to go again. Dinner doesn't really have the extra variety to make it worth the extra money. It can get rather expensive pretty fast. There is a 5 additional charge if you go for the spicy soup. Keep that in mind when you go. Overall it was good. Newcomers can be overwhelmed by all the stipulations on things like dessert and rice. You can only order once. Their menu gives option of three requests when it's a buffet. There's no limit...
Great place and great service. Food is 4/5, 4/5 service. Definitely one of the better chains. For the price it can't be beat.
