Its so nice and refreshing to see a daughter and father run a nightclub together in Bridport. Working with your children can be extremely challenging but these two seem to have it nailed. Id hate to work with my daughter and I know she'd say the same, ha. Great stuff. Cant wait for some live music to accompany the new Neon vibes.

In my review I will cover the drinks, the decor, the toilets and the service. I began hanging around Neon quite recently. I was originally drawn to Neon by the design theme of \total and abject darkness\. I was pleasantly surprised to find this is juxtaposed against bright blue Neon lights - as then the name made more sense. They're not actually all neon, they're mostly LED, but \mostly LED\ is not as good a name for a bar. Some of the lights are real neon, that really bright kind you see on CSI when they're looking for suspicious stains. They don't highlight any suspicious stains though which is good because that means you can be confident absolutely nothing suspicious whatsoever is going on behind the bar, which is probably what everyone thought at the owner's last pub, and why they've opened another one. The service in Neon is really good, you're either served by a well groomed man, or his really really really well groomed business partner. Other reviews have suggested this is a father and daughter relationship, but I think that is just role play. The toilets were well kept. There's one massive cubicle you can fit about 8 people in, but I only saw 3. There is a sign up saying only one person in the cubical at a time, but people are following the more recent coronavirus guidelines. Lots of people were testing their sense of smell to control the virus and stay really super duper alert. The proprietors have chosen to cover the walls with blackboard surface/paint. This is a brave move in a bar where people may be inebriated. Someone had written racial slurs across most of the walls, including the use of the N word (the one from when Kanye west and his friend visit Paris to visit the French nightclub, Le Neon). I thought the contrast of scrawled racial hate in white chalk, against the matt black backdrop, was actually very artistic. I tried to discuss this with a man on the stairs but sadly he had lost control of his jaw. I recommend Neon to everyone.
The most incredible club in the southwest, 4 floors, 6 rooms and a live set from Avicii. Unfortunately David Guetta didn't show but the espresso martinis on tap made up for it!
Great little late night bar, just what Bridport needs with the current closure of Number Ten Cafe & Bar. Neon are obviously trying extremely hard in this current climate to make it all work and respect to both Mike and his daughter Ellen for doing so.
Great place. Good old neon.
Bouncers are unprofessional and let people skip the queue who are their friends rather than wait like the rest. Also they are aggressive and are the main cause of fights and disagreements outside. Joke.
