Wow! We visited Abergavenny for the day on our holidays and wanted to buy some real Welsh lamb. We were really not disappointed, we had lamb chops for our supper, beautiful,so tender and so reasonably priced too. If we weren't travelling on again tomorrow we would have purchased more meat. No wonder this man is a master Butcher.

This is a treasure trove, with loads of variety, with everything made in store or from small producers. Nothing off the back of a wholesale food distributors lorry like many \butchers\. These are old fashioned, master butchers. On one counter you have a lovely selection of cooked meats, cheeses, baked goods, and hot food to take away. Then there are fridges with vacuum packs of meat, that can be frozen. Plus a selection of ready meals. A great selection of sauces, eggs and condiments from small producers. Then the large raw meat counters. There's always a good selection of sausages, burgers etc. They also offer seasonal goods, such as kebabs for summer BBQ. If you want a cut of meat you can't see, just ask, because nothing is too much trouble. They'll also prep youre meat as you want. You can buy as much or as little as you want, which is great for me as I buy for two small households, mine and my mother's. This really helps cut down on food waste. Everything we've bought from there has been of the best quality Friendly, helpful staff. Highly recommended.
