NT tearooms are pretty dependable. The tearoom at Flatford has a lovely small terrace overlooking the river with wide opening doors bringing the vista into the main inside dining area. There is a further smaller dining area towards the rear and additional outside seating on the small riverside lawn. Wasps. Love. It. Sheelagh's date and berry slice is a go to.

Fantastic place for dog walking or boat rides in the summer. You can also launch inflatable canoes from various points and canoe or walk to Dedham within 30 mins. Lovely views across the open sloping fields of Dedham vale from River.
Wonderful scenery, friendly staff. Great tea room and plenty for groups/families of all ages and sizes to do.
Beautiful spot maintained to a high modern day standard, while maintaining a rural atmosphere. Great walking along the river or through fields. Good place to recharge one's batteries Service in the shop. Excellent Lady welcoming guests full of charisma! Service in the cafeteria could be improved. No Brown bread/rolls available Toilets clean
