I love this place! I use to live in Hawaii and have been searching all over LA to find poke. My man and I decided to drive to Glendale to check this place out and I'm so happy we did! The food is so fresh and the poke was spot on. I felt like I was back on the island. Great quality of fish and great customer service! We will definitely be back.

First time here and let me tell you it will not be the last. Ive been to several Peruvian places from Torrance to Glendale and this place ranks at one of the top in taste and service. It gets all 5 stars from all of us. Can’t wait to go back.
Small place but the food was amazing. This was my first time trying this place, so I needed some help with the menu as I didn't know much about Peruvian food. The hostess, was really nice and patient in explaining everything about variety of dishes. We ended up going with her recommendation and we weren't disappointed. I would definitely come back again for the chicken dish (#42 on the menu).
have had better clam chowder which was surprising. I thought they would have the best clam chowder. Their potatoes were cut too large and man their clams were minced to tiny. Also surprisingly the chowder needed more salt. Overall, the flavors could have been much richer. But the price was about right for clam chowder.
The food is not just good -- it's GOOD ENOUGH -------------------------- This lightning-fast review is only for their green sauce and the Lomo Saltado (arguably the two most important items to be had at a Peruvian restaurant). - green sauce: it was spicy, and it was green (sorry, I know I'm grasping at straws). But compared to Mario's, it was lacking something. Cilantro flavoring? Richness? MSG? Who knows, but the bottom line was, I wasn't crying tears of joy (or pain) as I squeezed a small dollop onto their crusty baguette. And I wasn't gearing up to sneak out a full bottle, either... not that I ever thought to do that at Mario's either. (At least, not seriously). - Lomo saltado: how to describe, it's a bit like an off-key \musical road\ (head to jalopnik for more info). TL;DR version - the whole road, like the whole dish, was completely wrong. Maybe it was a measurement error? Maybe cooking times were off? Who knows; all I know is, I didn't finish the entree (GASP!) And now this is long enough to be an Elite-level review.
