This is a really good DIY shop. It has everything you could need pretty much. The prices are reasonable and sometimes there is even a takeaway fish van in the car park.

Usually good value, today I paid 32 for a vidange bainoire then I saw same thing @ 18 in Entrepot de brico later that day Used to be more competitive

Brico means DIY in French and Entrepot Brico has the majority of all the tools, electrical and bathroom fittings you would ever need for renovating a house, garden or swimming pool and relevant maintenance tasks. You can also hire tools here, but to be truthful hiring tools in France is very expensive. You're better buying a cheap tool, do your job and when you don't need it anymore resell it again on a site called Leboncoin.fr. We rarely buy 'branded' tools as they're so much dearer, i.e. a garden rake from a popular name was Euro 26:00, a generic tool of a different colour to do exactly the same job was Euro 9:00. Just the same as in any supermarket, shop around to make your money go further.

Finally, there’s a large hardware store whose staff has a notion of customer service. They actually come up to you and ask if they can help... What a concept! Here you usually only find that in clothing boutiques and that’s more so they can manage you, manage their stock, tell you how great you look jn their clothing, and sell more. Ultimately, sales may be the goal here, but it is usually not nearly as much fun perusing the shelves of a hardware store as the clothing racks in a boutique, so I would much rather get in, get EXACTLY what I need, and get the heck out, and hopefully without too much frustration. That’s actually possible here!

Good prices but the customer service, both pre and post sales, is what really makes this store standout from other Bricos. Truly excellent!
