The best part of the tour was the end. Or your guide gave us the option to go back the way we entered the tour or go through \that door\ to exit. That door he explained led to an area that was the poorest of the poor, 70% unemployment... not a tourist spot but the real deal. The real struggle the city was going through. We opted to go through the door and explore the Naples non-tourist neighborhoods. Very insightful and rewarding. Everyone treated us kindly and noone have us a hard time. Great people.

Our tour guide Raphael spoke very good English and provided historical background stories to the catacomb. No skulls or skeletons here. Few murals were preserved, unfortunately. Tour lasted about 50 minutes. It’d be great to hear more stories about the people’s stories, in addition to the bishop’s tomb and historical changes of the tomb’s structures. The bar at entrance had excellent coffee. Also there was a nice terrace (with lots of seats and a statue) overlooking the neighborhood.

This is a community project that was built on volunteers and now one of the must see in Napoli. Its amazing to see what they have achieved in the short time. The catacombs are incredibly interesting to see. The tour guide was very friendly and knowledgeable. I would highly recommend to go and donate to this project. Thanks Antonio for your time!

Somewhat challenging to get to (25 min walk from Museo underground station) bit well worth the visit. Brilliant example of an ancient Roman catacomb system, filled with history and great for photographers. Our guide spoke excellent English, was very engaging and experienced in his knowledge of the catacombs and local area. This place has no outside funding and really seems to give a lot to the local community. I would highly recommend! Enjoy

Beautiful catacombs from the second century A.D. Can be found under the Church of San Genaro. Interesting history, legends and superstition are connected to this unique place which are all interesting to learn about. The guided tour is included into admission price. The guide explained the history of this place very well and was engaging. We finished the tour in about 50 minutes. I can recommend to everyone to try this unique experience.
