Loved by locals. The taiyaki from this shop was really good. Crispy outer , lots of red bean paste. It was really delicious. Expect a wait time. You can always place an order and return later. They will give you an estimate , mine was 20 minutes and I walked around Azubu. Lots of nice and traditional food souvenirs to get around the area to bring home.
If you like Anko (sweet red bean paste), this the place to go. It is particularly fmoise for its Taiyaki (Fish-shaped Anko-filled sweet). They serve great green tea that goes well with the sweets. Usually there is a line.
Convenient to get to as its just outside the subway line. Loved it, crispy on the outside and i particularly enjoyed the red bean paste / Anko here.. not too sweet. Worth trying if you're nearby. Or if you're like me,i walk 30 mins for it.
best taiyaki on earth!! i’ve been to so many taiyaki shops but nothing beats naniwaya and i always end up coming back here. the only thing here, is that there might not always be taiyaki readily available when you go to the shop due to limited availability - i’ve been told a few times to “come back in 30 minutes” until a fresh batch is ready to eat. eat-in is also available in the shop. aside from taiyaki, their kakigori (shaved ice) is also great in the summer.
