Nando's Bury - St Edmund's

Really nice to be back in Nandos. They've clearly made a huge effort to make it as safe as possible. Love that you can order online using an online menu in-store rather than having to queue at the counter, should have done it ages ago. Food was pretty good, even liked the idea of them using their sauce sachets at the tables because obviously, sharing bottles is logistically awkward. Only down side was that the chicken was a little dry and whilst we ordered the platter with 2 large fries, usually the fries are just piled onto the plate with the chicken. Not this time, well they were, plus ANOTHER HUGE plate of fries. There were so many fries, way too many fries. Felt so bad leaving them. Otherwise it was really good! Losing a star for the absurd amount of fries.

Pretty poor experience I'm afraid to say. Double chicken breast on the menu. What arrives is a really small, dry piece of meat. The chicken was so over cooked as to be dessicated. I don't know where nandos are sourcing their chicken from, but it's tiny. I wonder if I'm eating some early death birds... Just my thoughts out loud and not an allegation against nando.... Service was ok. The place was rammed and the staff were doing best they could. But only one till open so it was queue time.. Spinach was luke warm. Grains and beans a bit weird. Over all not a good experience and one to put me off returning to this nando. Thankfully my local one in London still smashes it. To sum up. Very small meat portion. Double breast of very small chicken or poussin.... Over cooked, dry, tough. Not recommended.

Amazing customer service! Me and my husband got married today and decided to go to nandos straight after! (I'm 6 months pregnant and craving nandos!) And the staff were Amazing! So kind and lovely, said they'd never had a couple that had come straight from their wedding before haha! They gave us some stuff on the house and couldn't have been any nicer if they had tried!
