A Famous Chippy!!! Ready for this? The counter has metal bars along it like a prison cell. Yup - one small hatch to pass money and food through. OMG this needs to be seen. The area is rough and tough. This is the Borough - people live a hard life. Perhaps the business has suffered too much theft or violence? I don't know but if you want to see bank security at a chip shop then look here! OK the food? Not too bad. Prices are cheap and quality of food is above average. Staff are friendly and helpful. Please at least try this shop - they deserve some custom because food is actually OK.

The Best Fish & Chip Shop in Middlesbrough! This place has been open since I was a kid for over 30 years, (yes, I'm getting on!). Yes, it's in a pretty rundown area but one things for sure the fish is ALWAYS fresh and fried to perfection. If you want good honest fish and chips, coupled with great value for money then look no further.
Nice and polite ladies serving. Good portion of fresh fish too.
Poor quality ,fish under cooked and chips like stickes ,inedible food won't be returning.
