Mixed feelings.... This restaurant features Kyoto home-style cooking (Obanzai). We ordered various dishes- grilled local chicken, simmered pork, grilled fish, pickles, rice in broth etc.. The food was delicious and we changed a few sake. However the next day, my partner and I suffered huge migraines and upset stomach due to alcohol poisoning. We think some of these sake are produced without license. The restaurant is not owned by the chef, but an investor owning 6 of these restaurants. We are concerned that they do not care so much about the food but the profit. We enjoyed the dinner but suffered much the next day, will not go again even though food was not bad...

Not inexpensive, but a good place to get a taste of authentic Kyoto food.
Delightful set menu, they were able to serve us effectively in English. The sake flight was fun too! Oishi!
