In this wonderful country pub I found friendly staff and a great atmosphere. The food was beautifully cooked and high quality. Go for the Colson Bassett burger - it’s amazing! Also, sensible prices. A winner all round, will definitely be visiting again.

Beautiful pub, felt like a step back in time. The food was delicious too and the service was excellent!
My first meal out post lockdown, & it did not disappoint. The staff were genuinely pleased to be there & were all polite, welcoming & friendly, & there were clear instructions on what to do during the current situation. My friend had the bacon & Stilton sandwich with chips, & I had the pork belly with chorizo. The portions were incredibly generous & great value for money, & we were both impressed at the quality. A great little country pub with a big heart (& an outdoor pizza oven & kebab machine....we'll be back!), I would recommend this to anyone looking for a great pub dinner with a welcoming atmosphere. They have a fab selection of beers & top notch cider on tap as well, for us cider snobs...!
