Best library in Nîmes. You can access any book you want however in order to get a book issue you need to be a member. Down at the auditorium they often display foreign language films for free during different theatre festivals. It also has free wifi for anyone and everyone for like 6 hours everyday.

ugly building which does not fit to the area and to the maison carrée. your city should be ashamed for this building.

The view from top is a good tip. It's a place called \ Le ciel de Nîmes\ toping 5he museum. It's worth visiting collections of that nice art center and public library. The restaurant and bar over the terrace is one if the best adresses in town....

Interesting architecture, predominantly a Library with and exhibit floor. Roof top cafe would be lovely in the summer.

Excellent, attractive modern building centrally located in Nîmes. The space includes free public areas, such as a library, and it is good to see these facilities being well patronised by locals. However, as a museum of contemporary art, I found the quality of the exhibits disappointing. Although my guidebook lists the venue as being free to enter, visits to the gallery are now 8 euros (6 if the visitor opts not to go the temporary exhibitions). My visit was salvaged by enjoying a German-language, French-subtitled lengthy (40 minutes) video drama depicting the effect of the war in Afghanistan on a father, mother and three alternative versions of their soldiering son. Aside from that, only a handful of other works - mainly photographs - engaged my interest.

It's a nice enough building, and you get a great view of the temple across the street from the rooftop cafe, but the permanent exhibition is woefully small and uninteresting.
