We had excellent experience dealing with RÖTHIG & RÖTHIG. We had support during the whole process, from start until the signing of the contract. Our questions were always answers pretty quickly and the needed docs were communicated electronically. Additionally we were advised on couple of post-buying topics. I can only recommend them.

!!! BEWARE of this Real estate agent !!! We have booked an Apartment and the real estate agent said that the owner has accepted our offer. We went ahead to pay the Reservation amount and also sign Reservierungsvereinbarung (Reservation agreement.). This was signed by Mrs.Röthig and Notar date was agreed. After a week of no response from real estate agent, they said that the owner found another buyer and cancelled our agreement. When I asked my friends, everyone said that they had similar bad experience with this Real estate agent. This agent reserves the property and continues to negotiate with others. In our case, they have lied that the owner found buyer by himself. After two months in their facebook page, this agent advertises that they have successfully sold that property. This reservation agreement has no meaning. These real estate agents are such a shame to their profession.

BUYERS BEWARE!!! These real estate agents are why the profession has a bad reputation. On June 19th we signed a \Reservierungsvereinbarung\ (reservation agreement) for a property after being in negotiations for a week. This document was signed by me and Kathrin Röthig. The reservation agreement explicitly stated (i) that the property would be reserved for us until July 6th, (ii) the price to pay, (iii) that the realtors would cease to negotiate with other buyers, and (iv) that the seller agrees to all of this. We were waiting for a draft of the sale contract and for the notary appointment, when Thomas Röthig sent me an email on June 23rd saying that the seller needed to consult his accountant first to solve some remaining issues. After calling him, he assured me on the phone that they were not negotiating with other buyers and would be in touch at the beginning of the following week since the accountant was away for the rest of the week. After this phone call, Thomas Röthig simply cut off all contact and did not answer my calls. Even the office gave us the run around. On June 30th he finally sent us an SMS saying that he was \so sorry and he didn't have good news for us.\ After calling several more times he finally gave us the courtesy of returning our call to say that the property had been sold the day before – one week before the date that the property had supposedly been “reserved” for us)! Our \Reservierungsvereinbarung\ was useless and not worth the paper it was written on. The fact that Röthig & Röthig gives out and signs “agreements” that have no legal, moral, or ethical binding makes a mockery of themselves and the entire profession. Based on this experience I would not trust any written \agreement\ with them – or their word.
