Ludwig Maximilian University or know also as University of Munchen, is the best University in whole Germany and one of the best in the World. The professors working there are very prepared and friendly. University itself offers many opportunities for the students. Degrees issued by LMU are very requested on the market. Very luck to call myself and Alumni of LMU.

If you're planning to apply here as an international student... Good luck. This is the single best example of incompetence and German bureaucracy I've seen in 12 years living in Germany. You'll spend months gathering documents, translations, notarizations of translated documents, notarization of non translated documents, etc. Each of these documents are quite costly, and you never get anything back. You'll get contradictory information from people working here, depending on who you speak to and when. They're incredibly slow in processing your application, will let you know shortly before the submission deadline that you are missing document X. Or send you to Zeugnisannerkennungsstelle. A real waste of time, not a sign of \excellence\ as they like to advertise. Don't even bother trying, TUM is a few blocks away and you'll get your application done much easier than here

Bureaucratic mess has ruined my studies and made me waste an entire year of studies. The international office is probably the worst. Swallows all applications and either pretends nothing ever happened or sends you the wrong response (have been LMU student since 2017 but they sent me a mail as if I had just signed up!). Clearly understaffed and messy and some of the staff is extremely belligerent and unfriendly. Extremely short hours for their telephone and they seem to start and finish up to 20 minutes late/early. Email has been left without response for weeks. Whatever motivation I had left has disappeared now. Thanks LMU.

For me as a student from Germany there was nothing to complain until now (3rd semester, business administration). The staff of my faculty is very helpful and nice. Only two things are really annoying: 1.The design of the official website is a nightmare to navigate through and find the things you are looking for 2. The library where you can study has some annoying regulations especially the fact that you can't bring in you own backpack or even food. I know its to protect books from being stolen but the TUM manages not to have these regulations while also offering far better seating spaces in their library. But all in all it's a great university the two best points being: 1. Located in the heart of munich so you have all the opportunities you could want as a student (english garden, restaurants, bars, etc.) 2. The building itself is just beautiful.

Badest experience ever. Very bad organization in general. Stuff is also very bad. Especially the department for international documents. The head was not correct and acted very selfish. He acted as he would be the highest person of the university and want to play with students patience. Not a recommended University. it feels like the UNI is in a big depression stuff and so...
