Mumtaz Indian Restaurant

First time returned to Mumtaz since shelter-in-place. No more buffet to ensure health and safety. However the lunch special has plenty of food and taste even better because everything is freshly made. I am returning next week.

We had a good experience dining in. Plenty of social distancing and everyone was wearing a mask. The food was delicious and portions were huge. We had vegetable samosas, onion kulcha, mango lassi, the chicken biryani and the chef special (can't remember the name but picture is below).

Hands down, this is my favorite Indian restaurant in the area. Their chicken Tikka masala and chicken biryani are delicious. Naan is always fresh and hot as well. Appetizers are also excellent. I stop in or order take out several times a month. Service is always fast and the staff is friendly. This is a Richardson hidden gem!

Worst Indian food I've had. Would have given 0 stars if I had the option. This food can kill you, literally. Unhygienic, bland and no salt - three things that were common across all the dishes we ordered. Avoid at all costs! There are hundreds of Indian restaurants in Dallas that serve good Indian food. Stay away!!
