The family added olive oil production to its portfolio towards the last quarter of 1800's after making fortune in animal husbandry and exporting it to the surrounding regions as live animals. The founder is Hacı Alizade Mehmet Bey (Mr. Hadji Mehmet son of Ali). The farm where Akarca Family currently continue their operations was founded around 1640's and owned by Akarca Family for more than hundred years. The company was founded recently to help the family to create a brand and opening up to the international markets.
