Very nice renovated museum, well worth a visit even if you have to come all the way from Bangkok. Many beautiful statues and lintels. Pity that the price of a ticket for an alien (Th150) is 5 times the price for a Thai. For that money the museum should have an English speaking guide present but I guess that is asking to much.

Read about this newly renovated museum a few months ago, we decided to visit it before heading back to Bangkok. Apart from relief from horrible heat outside, the designs of each display were very good. The lintels, found in the area (of present-day Sa Kaew Province which used to be part of Prachinburi Province) and masterpieces on their own, were prominently displayed. Staff were very active and knowledgeable. Clearly loved the work they were doing. They helped suggest other places to visit, too.
Great place to visit. Highly recommend. They have renovated the museum in February 2019.
It is very hot outside so slide into this very nice and newly renovated museum was a relief. The guide let us in for free since they were at that moment still renovating. Now the renovation is finished and i highly recommend a visit. We talked to them about other places we had visited and also why they are not cultural heritage. Very nice staff and a very good museum.
