Wow I am Chinese and the porridge here surprise me! Very cheap and all kinds of local people stream in and out to get their breakfast. So much meat and ingredients in a bowl, very comforting. the location is actually a bit further next to Malee noodle, not at the entrance

A classic spot for a real local Thai breakfast, from the actual shop itself, to the food being served. The congee or \Joke\ is good and tasty, soft boiled egg is always nice, and their \Pa-Tong-Ko\ or crispy deep fried dough is also good too, but our favourite is the \Kao Lao\ or \Tom Luad\ which can be ordered as an assortment of pork, blood, and various inner organs served with a handful of White Mugworth leafs - a herbal vegetable that is not as bad as one might anticipate - or your choice of favourite parts. This tasty soup is accompanied by a bowl of rice, and the best part, a sour and mildly spicy sauce that - to me - is the highlight of this meal. Although this dish can be found at a number of other vendors and shops, it is the ingredients and combination of fragrant herbs in this shop's sauce that keeps me coming back. The shop gets pretty busy during breakfast hours, and morning rushhour may cause traffic to be a little hectic nearby, but service is usually pretty quick, and there is a nice parking lot right next door. Certainly not for the faint of heart, I recommend that if you're not 100% sure of how you'll handle the organs, go with the sliced and minced pork. And if you're quite particular about your surroundings, there are a few tables out on the sidewalk that should be more enjoyable.
Nice place, fast service, large portion. Ginger in porridge was absolutely unnecessary. 55 bath for congee with pork and salted egg.
Favorite congee place in Chiang Mai, especially Sunday mornings, not too busy around.
Excellent breakfast. I passed there on a Sunday morning and saw the place was crowded. So I tried the porridge with salted eggs. Liked it a lot. Plus service was fast and friendly.
