Good Choice of food cakes and ready meals. Could have done with more Tills being open as the queues were quiet long today. Store is always clean and staff are friendly and helpful. Plenty of parking available.

The staff in the cafe are just lovely, even when they're very busy, always cheerful. They have good deals from time to time too. Their cream teas are lush; the tea itself has great flavour, the scones perfect and there is a choice of jam. We opted for the Summer Berry which is absolutely delicious. The store is always clean and well stocked, the produce always of fantastic quality and their new vegan/veggie range is superb. And something a bit left field....M&S dog food! My dog loves it and he's quite fussy. It doesn't stink like normal dog food, it actually smells more like human dinners. It's only a few pennies more expensive than other supermarket brands, but surely our best friends are worth it?
Lovely little M&S with free parking and a decent selection. I probably visit 2-3 times a week depending on where I am for work, spending probably around 200 a month and in the nearly a year I still get poor service. Staff never look happy, management ignore you and rarely do you get asked if you need any help or even hello. M&S definitely has a stigma against younger people shopping their brand. Staff are always suspicious and it can be uncomfortable at times tbh. If it wasn’t so convenient to shop at and I wasn’t picky about my food quality, I would shop somewhere else for sure... If a Waitrose ever came to Chelmsford again M&S will need to up its game in customer service and be more welcoming.
Very friendly and helpful staff. A fabulous shopping experience in a very pleasant atmosphere.
