The 4 star review is for the food and the pricing/value. Got the bimbimbap (spelling?) with spicy chicken and miso soup. The entree was good size and the veggies, egg, and chicken were tasty and abundant. The soup was tasty and not overly salty. Sauce was sweet and spicy and portioned well. I had to dock a star for service. I walked in, was seated, and it was a good 5-10 minutes before I even saw a server in the building. Blond younger college gal, she was really struggling. Forgot my water, didn't bring me my soup or napkins until I asked about them when my entree arrived. Just set a fork on the table. Still sitting waiting on the check. She needs some training for sure.
You gotta love half priced sushi made fresh. I must add that I didn't like my waitress though. She seemed rushed and it also took away from my meal having to deal with the fact that she seemed to be irritated by us. She very well could have been having a bad day but I work in this industry, so I understand. But yeah we love Downtown's vibe though!!
I tasted sushi on Clifton for the first time in 4 years and I was not disappointed. The sweet potato rolls are exquisite and the staff are not opposed to making substitutions. Overall a great experience!
Went to Mr. Sushi in Clifton for late night sushi following tunes and blooms at the Cincinnati Zoo. Didnt realize there was a location in Clifton! Much different atmosphere near a college campus. Great happy hour drink specials! Almost as awesome as the downtown location - lots of extra wasabi too!
