Love their fish and chips! Tremendous improvement on the last owners. Cooked to perfection, good polite service from the staff, prices are fair. It's our \go to\ chip shop now.

Alight to all those giving 1 star because it was closed, it's not fair. People have lives, and some places do close on odd periods for their own reasons. On the other hand this shop when I went to it had really amazing fish really good haddock and cod. And surprisingly they got Snickers and Mars bars deep fried with batter proper good! And when it was open it was packed!
Ordered well in advance to pick up at 7pm. Big queue on arrival, get in at 7:10 to be told 20-25 minute wait as 8/9 orders in front. Asked if any point to ordering online but I don’t think they understood what I meant. I just took a refund and left. Be warned if you order in advance they only put you in the queue once you arrive to collect. Thanks for the apologies Mr Fish (there was no apology)!!
The food is great. You aren't likely to find better fish and chips and there is a lot of choice. Service is just very slow - I don't think they have the capacity at busy times (Saturday dinnertime for example) to serve both visiting customers and Deliveroo/Just Eat - there is often a very long wait for what is supposed to be fast food. When I went the staff were not enforcing the two people rule so the ignorant customers that decided to wait for their order inside the shop made things more difficult for those that waited outside.
Went here a few times, thinking that I got unlucky, but every visit had food dripping in grease as dark as motor oil. Burned oil is the major taste in your meal. Please use new oil or change it more regularly.
