The food was quite nice, except we were told that real butter would be used on the bread and it was margarine. We asked as we hate margarine. Also my husband is disabled and very unstable on his feet, and the floor was so very slippery. Even I had to be very careful how I walked on it, and I hung on to him as I was frightened he'd slip. His walking stick was sliding from under him. I'd advise anyone to be careful with that floor, and would recommend something be done about it before there's a claim against them.

It depends on who is frying, this was our 3rd visit, first 2 couldn't fault the fish and chips the last was money down the drain, the fish didn't have enough batter on so the young lady poured batter over the fish in the fryer, the fish shrunk to nothing and the batter was almost burnt. The chips were cooked but the outer layer was so hard basically inedible, too much dry white we've been told. This how much white fish there was. Disgusting.
Nice fish and chip menu good service. Dropped a star because of a really slippery floor everytime we go in, sounds silly but my wife has a weak leg so to her it is quite hazardous
Food good. Service good but unfortunately the restaurant was decidedly chilly. Not pleasant and really spoiled the meal. The toilets are shared with the Ranch next door and noticed that on using the facilities that there was a considerable warmth coming through, which made returning to Mr Chips coldness even more noticeable.
Had the best ever takeaway fish and chips special.. Demolished it the fish was not heavily battered or greasy was crispy and the fish was melt in your mouth thank you Mr chips will definitely be returning for more
