Insatiable Traveler

I started working with Roland over a year ago, (like his other reviews - he is fantastic). I wanted very specific things on a \cream puff\. Roland reached out to me whenever he thought I might like a vehicle that was turned in. Low and behold....I finally took possession of a super cute \cream puff\. It was perfect. Roland's customer service and tenacity is exceptional.

WHAT A WASTE! Purchased a 500.00 part from Motor City MINI and paid for expedited shipping since the car was inoperable and needed the part! PURE INCOMPETANCE: to save 50 cents on a proper shipping box, the part was thrown in a paper-thin cardboard box which resulted in a broken part being delivered! After repeated calls and emails, I was assured that a replacement part would be overnighted once the part is available. For a week straight, I followed up with parts department and every time was assured that the part would be sent overnight! Not even a shipment notification; had to waste time yet again and call them, only to find out that the part was finally shipped ground! Save yourself the time and money and buy elsewhere!

Usually my experience with Mini is great, but this time, not quite so. I helped a friend buy his mini here and the sales guy Roland just rushed us through. We had asked a couple of times to check how old the tires were and he ‘forgot’ to check. He also hurried us out when we bought the car because he had another customer coming soon after. I love mini as brand and that’s the whole reason I went with it. Very disappointed with the experience though.

We were looking for a used Mini for my wife and had been looking on and off for a couple of months. We worked with Roland. In the end we did not purchase a car from Roland because we found the exact car my wife had wanted from a private seller. We were actually close to getting one from Roland, but it just didn't work out. However, during the process, we got to know Roland. What an incredible guy! He was just plain awesome. He bent over backwards to help us any way we could. His professionalism was just off the charts! Roland was just so genuine and trustworthy, I really wish we could have bought the car he had for sale. Regardless, we are now Mini owners (a 2011 2 Door Cooper S). While he was certainly a little disappointed we didn't buy his car, he understood and right away he said that he hoped we would at least be a service customer. And of course we will be. In the future, for anyone looking for a Mini, I would absolutely recommend they work with Roland! You can tell the quality of a business by the quality of their employees and with our incredibly positive experience, I'm confident that Motor City Mini is as outstanding as Roland is. Thanks again Roland!
