If I could post less than 1 star, I would. Absolutely awful! Firstly, they had an extremely inaccessible building where there were stairs in the middle of the room and either they had no ramp or simply did not bother to get one for me, to get up to where the desks were, so if I did not have my partner with me (as a wheelchair user) I would not have been able to speak to the very stubborn staff. We had phoned in advance to ask if we were able to get my wheelchair repaired, to which they had said yes. However, when we were there and asked about getting my wheelchair repaired, they made out that we were lying about this phone call, by demanding to know who we had spoken to and saying that they only dealt with mobility scooters, and in general were extremely rude to both me and my partner. When we were leaving, I also mentioned that the ramp they had was extremely unstable and could not properly be used by wheelchairs as it was unsafe, and at this point, one of the staff had a go at me telling me it was fine and suggested that I (a wheelchair user for many years) did not know as much about ramps and my own safety than he did. I would strongly suggest to avoid this place, and instead go to versomed.

I Had to get a mobility scooter because of a pending foot op. I stopped a few scooter users in the street for their opinion, almost all recommended Mobility Direct. I called into their South Gosforth branch for a chat and they couldn't of been more helpful. Luckily for me they had the very scooter I had been thinking about getting and at a very good price. I've had the scooter (Kymco Maxer) a few weeks now and it's brilliant, I've had a couple of little issues with the scooter (flat tyre, replacement Key) and Mobility Direct have sorted it instantly. The staff are friendly and don't rush you, they take the time with loads of advice, I can't recommend them highly enough. If you are having any disability issues go for a chat, they'll help you anyway they can. UPDATE Unfortunately I've had to replace the batteries but I'm never off the scooter and if I didn't cover as many miles then they would of lasted longer,(about 14 months) so I'm not surprised. I spoke online with Mobility Direct and these guys were spot on, had me sorted with new bigger batteries in no time. Excellent service as usual. Thank you UPDATE 2 We like this company and their service so much, that we've been into their South Shields branch to have a look (again very helpful and friendly staff) and we got a great deal on a boot scooter for a family member UPDATE 3 Well the new batteries developed a fault ️. When first installed, I was getting over 25 miles but after 5 month I was lucky to get 5. I contacted Mobility Direct who arranged to pick up the scooter for testing and gave me a loan scooter. After two days of testing they found that one of the two batteries had a fault. They replaced the battery under warranty and my scooter is working again. I can't express how excellent I've found their customer service

Ok shop, reasonable amount of stock. Didn't seem interested in helping too much with questions on mobility scooters.
