Our first lawyer left the firm and was not very good at all, did not communicate with us and did not give a proper handover and our new lawyer wasn't aware our mortgage papers were accepted and sitting in an office which was frustrating. Our purchase was very stressful and long due to the sellers delaying us but many thanks to Gemma Neil who made the process easier as she communicated well, reassured me and tried to speed things up with the sellers. Would recommend Gemma

I cannot recommend this firm highly enough. Gemma in particular has been fabulous in both occasions of us selling and buying our home. With lockdown restrictions and a buyer in the chain not having funding in place, things were complex and challenging however, Gemma kept us updated every step of the way and gave us full confidence that things were under control. All emails were responded to promptly and if required, telephone calls were taken or responded to timely. A local, family run business business who clearly value their clients. I wouldn’t go anywhere else .
My dealings with this company dealing with an estate and property sale are far from the five stars attributed by other reviewers as they have been abysmal. It is obvious they have recently had some restructuring with numerous staff leaving without proper handovers having been conducted. My initial dealings with the Carluke office went well until this individual left the company and the handling was transferred to Lanark. Further staff then left the company and e-mails from me were unanswered, promises of phone calls never materialised without constant chasing from me and incorrect information was provided by staff who were having to pick things up after their colleague's employment ended. Various documentation and letters to me all included numerous errors. I would not recommend this firm and thankfully have no cause to ever use them again.
