Absolutely lovely place to fish plenty of big cats for the cat man plenty nice carp for the carp man well maintained and very nice bailiffs well run as far as I'm concerned cheers Sean.
Have been fishing here for years and it has always been my favourite venue. Kingfisher lake is looking great and have some memorable trips recently topped off with a magnificent 81lb catfish today.
Nice place to fish but there are issues canadian geese up to 15 just sitting in your swim thinking they are going to be fed and the carp in side winder lake are not in very good shape at all the ones I caught anyway and you are asked to use there own nets which is fair enough but the nets provided in the out building where you buy your ticket either had holes in them or the netting was held together by cable ties which in turn will damage your fish stock so I just used the one that was the better out of the 3 to choose from. Very nice lake but the fish need to be taken care of as lips are damaged and also parts of fin and tails missing also
Fished peg 4 on the canel lake .nothing at top 2 2 tried maggot pellets hard and soft .ended up 13 metre on the bottom.Fed maggots with a pole pot half a dozen at the start 2 maggots on a 18 guru pellet hook didn't mater if dead or alive or colour started to get bites small roach and skimmers .Eventually ended up with 5 carp keep the feed tight and fish right over it Well worth a visit on these cold days
